Delaware Jurisdiction
Departments of Missions

Section I                  Establish,    Educate,    Institute 
Part 1) To educate, train, and develop preachers and missionaries
          in all aspects of mission work; 
  A) Perform departmental objectives as outlined by the international Church
      1). There shall be a Home and foreign Missions for the spiritual and 
          doctrinal development of Missions in underdeveloped areas in both                    local and foreign territories.
         B). Develop District and Missions Department, whose officers shall be                   appointed and removed by the Jurisdictional Bishop.
          C).   Assist in the training and development of local Missions
  Department, whose officers shall be appointed and removed by the
   local pastor
    D)  Work within the Jurisdictional structure State, district and local
                boards.  Encourage communication, job descriptions, written goals
                and objectives 
  C)  Reorganize State Mission board, Educate to national and
        jurisdictional plan.  Work closely with Bishop to come up with a
               total plan.  Communicate that plan; develop update job descriptions,
               written goals and objectives for all missions works within the 
               jurisdiction.
  E)  Encourage District Missionaries, Educate to national and
               jurisdictional plan.  Communicate that plan; develop update job
       descriptions, written goals and objectives. Work closely with
               superintendents to fulfill their goals for new membership
               development, work closer with new pastors and churches to canvas,
               survey local communities for how Church of God In Christ can better
               serve local community.
  F)  Encourage Local Presidents and boards, Educate to national and
       jurisdictional Plan.  Encourage district missionaries to communicate
              that plan, develop update job descriptions, written goals and
              objectives. Work closely with pastors to fulfill their goal for training
              current membership, new membership.  Encourage more community
              programs.
  G)  Development of a Missions Department Newsletter, as a means of
               improving communication to State, district and local workers.
               " See outline of shell." Every State missions worker, District worker,
               local president and pastor will get  a copy, To be published monthly.

Section II          Assisting / Promoting Expansion
  1 )  To assist in the completion of the existing building and                        expansion of Churches;
         A)  Taking missions role back to it’s root works of “being ground
                  breakers and trail blazers”
    B)  Re-building COGIC Foundations: Not building to count bodies, but
                building to restore power to win souls to Christ- 
                      End Time Harvest of Souls, Evangelism and Biblical Nurturing
* Authority of the Scriptures, COGIC Doctrine: Doctrine of Christ,
      * Doctrine of Holy Ghost, Purpose of and Baptism of Holy Ghost, 
                 believe one will Speak a language or tongue according to the
                 sovereign will of Christ unknown to oneself.

  C) Work with  existing Pastors  and Elders in their (existing) program,
              as they request
    * Encourage pastors to organize soul winning activities in their local 
                 church, communities
     * Projects currently underway, such as local (new) churches,
             * Assisting pastors in organizing soul winning activities in their new
                 communities
          D) Jurisdictional land project
              - Work closely with the Bishop developing workshops, programs that                   encourage mission programs


Section III                Improving Financial Support
  3)     To improve the efforts for obtaining better financial
               support for the jurisdictional works while lessening the
               struggle.
   A)  The accomplishment of this specific goal, upon which the other
                goals are hinged, will be a direct result of establishing a budget over
                the next two years.
          B)  Develop programs that raise funds as a result of services offered to
                Body of Christ, on jurisdictional, district, local missions levels.
                
  C)  Develop department budget and annual plan over the next 2 years


Section  IV    PromotIing Local /Home Missions Departments
4) To promote home missions by encouraging the local church
            to do more ministry to the masses:
  A).  Engage in activities to build/restore the strong family values–
     * Families working together
      * Promote aggressive Youth participation in missions work:
                        School, Community, State, Nation
                    * Promote parents, youth, and families working together as a
                        means of developing greater Christian walk: Family ministry
                        projects– nursing home, visiting elderly at home,
                    *Family community projects– community/park clean-ups, 
          B)   Engage in mission and development of the community ( Gospel to
                the masses)
     * Encourage all local missions to go into local community,
   within 10 blocks of the church to survey the needs of the
                          people: Mission Impossible- Soul Winning across
                     * Organize district and local workers to assist new churches 
                          canvassing the local community, spreading the news about
                          the new church and pastor– Bread of life
          C)  Engage in active street, prison, jail, and nursing-home ministries, 
               Youth ministries.
      * Survey all Jurisdiction Churches for their current ministry
          activity.  Encourage those that have street, prison, nursing
                          home, food pantries, and other programs. 
                     * Assist any Church that wants to develop any of the above
                          ministries, with Churches that have ministries to help them
                          that want to develop new programs.
              
          D) Commit to financial support of the State, Regional and National 
  Missions Depart.
                      *  Attend regional conferences to keep up with new
                           methodology, materials when ever possible.
                       *   Encourage other state, district and local mission workers          to attend all conferences when ever possible.

Elder Bowe is being elevated to newer heights in The Lord,
as Jurisdiction Secretary, and wants to see the Mission Progress continue.
